Understand before building
No proposal until we’ve mapped how work actually moves through your business — not how the org chart says it does. The consult exists to find out whether the thing you asked for is the thing you need.
About
SJSP Consulting is a Brampton-based practice built around a single observation: the expensive problems in a business are almost never inside a tool. They’re in the gaps between them.
Our story
Every business we meet has already bought the software. The CRM is there. The accounting package is there. There’s an AI subscription somebody signed up for in a burst of optimism. And yet someone on the team is still exporting a CSV every Monday morning and typing it into a second system by hand.
That’s the work. Not replacing what you own — connecting it. Writing the integration that moves the order to the warehouse. Getting the supplier off email and onto a feed. Putting a model where it drafts the first pass so a person can spend their hours on judgement instead of transcription.
SJSP grew out of doing that work repeatedly and noticing the same thing each time: the fix was rarely the hard part. Understanding the business well enough to know what to fix was. So we start there, every time, and we don’t bill until there’s something to show for it.
We took on the website, identity, and content work for the same reason. A business is one system. The face it shows a customer and the machinery behind it should be designed by people who’ve seen both.
The software was never the problem. The distance between it was.The premise SJSP is built on
Principles
These aren’t values on a wall. They’re the terms we work under, and you can hold us to every one.
No proposal until we’ve mapped how work actually moves through your business — not how the org chart says it does. The consult exists to find out whether the thing you asked for is the thing you need.
You approve a milestone before it’s billed. If we can’t deliver it, you don’t pay for it. That constraint keeps us honest about what we take on in the first place.
Documented, explainable, and owned by you. If our leaving would break your business, we built it wrong. We’d rather be kept than needed.
If AI won’t help you, we’ll say so. If the integration costs more than the manual process, we’ll say that too. The fastest way to lose a client is to sell them something that doesn’t work.
How we engage
A conversation about what’s slow, what’s manual, and what’s costing you. No charge, no obligation, and an honest answer about whether we’re the right fit.
Deliverables, milestones, timelines, and fees in CAD — written down and agreed before anything starts. You know what you’re getting and when.
We build in milestones. You review, we revise, you approve. Only then does an invoice appear.
Next step
No pitch deck, no obligation. Tell us what’s in front of you and we’ll tell you honestly whether and how we can help.
